Valbin Corporation has been awarded a sub-contract through GDIT to provide Civilian Role Players to support mass casualty preparedness training exercises at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center (MUTC), IN November 5 - 11, 2009. Soldiers will be trained to respond to major events in a civilian environment that could result in multiple injuries and casualties. Mock decontamination units and the application of moulage to Role Players will add a sense realism and urgency to the training.

Valbin Corporation has been awarded a contract to provide Spanish to English transcription services of 4 hours of audio recordings for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Valbin Corporation has been awarded with General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) a contract to provide 30 Albanian and Serbian speaking Role Players for KFOR 12 training exercises for troops prior to deployment to Kosovo. Soldiers will have an opportunity to practice using a trilingual interpreter as they negotiate through scenarios depicting the current state of affairs in Kosovo. The exercise runs September 16- 23, 2009.

Valbin Deaf Culture and Sign Language Services has won another two year contract with Carderock Naval Surface Warfare Center to continue providing Sign Language interpretation services. Valbin will continue to provide highly technical Sign Language interpretation for scientists, engineers, technicians and other government staff in classified and unclassified settings. Valbin looks forward to two more successful years with the staff of Carderock NSWC.

Valbin Corporation has been awarded a contract to provide 20 Pashto speaking Foreign Language Speakers (FLS) to support pre-deployment training exercises at Ft. McCoy, WI July 25 through August 2, 2009. FLS will enact Subject Matter Expert designed scenarios to prepare participating troops for deployment to Afghanistan. This program provides country orientation, cultural awareness and allows soldiers to practice negotiation skills with the use of interpreters prior to deployment.

Valbin Corporation has been awarded a multi-million dollar sub-contract through GDIT to provide Civilian Role Players to support pre-deployment training exercises at Ft. Stewart, GA May 1 through July 4, 2009. English and Arabic speaking role players will enact basic language familiarization, training in negotiation skills and use of interpreters are part of the situational and mission rehearsal exercises. This allows soldiers to interact with role-players under various conditions that may be encountered while deployed in support of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT).

Valbin Corporation has been awarded a contract to provide 14 Sign Language interpreters to support the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Government’s National Training Conference, May 5-7, 2009. This Department of Defense training conference focuses on the Computer and Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP). Valbin’s RID Certified interpreters will be providing ASL and Pidgin interpretation, voicing and tactile Sign Language for attendees and presenters at the conference.

Valbin Corporation was awarded through the Government Services Administration a contract to provide Arabic and Dari linguists for testing an acoustic hailing device for the U.S. Military at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. These services provide realistic theater specific testing conditions to monitor and improve the development of the device.
