Language proficiency in English and any of the above languages refers to a rating of three (3) or above in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in both English and the relevant target language. Standards for determining a proficiency level of three (3) or above used come from the Interagency Language Roundtable. Applicant linguists are subject to proficiency verification and must meet the minimum standard as described by the Interagency Language Roundtable prior to beginning work on contract.
